Babies and Birthdays

And sometimes life goes too fast to keep up....! So many birthdays in the last few weeks!
We celebrated the life of this wonderful, amazing, hard-working man on his birthday in March (this is Jessica typing right now, btw 😁).  He is such a great leader as he leads by his example of working hard at anything that needs to be done.  He sees the need and gets it done with diligence and humility.
Gilead loved helping make Daddy's cake.

Such a great Dad to our six kids.

Then it was a special day that is now birthday to FOUR gals in the congregation here.  March 23rd was little Cassey's first birthday, the birthday of one of our teachers (Mrs. Abanga), another of the ladies (Dinah), and joining the crew is baby Jael also born on the same day.
Momma (who is another of our teachers) and Daddy welcome their beautiful fourth born, Baby Jael
Cyrene isn't too sure what to think of another baby in mommy's arms 😆

I soon got to hold another newborn, though!  Another of our teachers, Mrs. Akakpo, had a very special "April Fool's" trick played on her by her second son who decided to be born on April 1st 😉
I was so thankful to get to be there with Esther, her husband, and Sherrie (a young lady who is interested in pursuing midwifery) for the delivery of Baby Eann.

Besides babies and birthdays, there has been some more drama with Matthew's mom, a lot of challenges with our physical dwellings (electricity, noise, heat, etc.), but also a particularly nasty virus that has hit quite a few of the students and even hospitalized some like Emmanuella (above being visited by Havilah and Judah who is here as a volunteer for a few weeks).  Galilee had it pretty badly for a few days but we are thankful that we could keep her hydrated and she is now all better.  We thank God for each day - of new beginnings and another opportunity to make a difference in someone's life.  We keep sowing seeds of truth and praying for the Bible studies going on and the teaching of kids and trust God will be glorified! Thanks for prayers!
